    GUNNEDAH FAMILY DAY CARE

    PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

    POLICY:
    Gunnedah Family Day Care is a community managed not for profit scheme, that encourages positive involvement of all stakeholders in the Service.

    PRACTICES
    The Scheme will encourage involvement of all Stakeholders by
    · Inviting all Stakeholders to attend Advisory and Management Meetings of the Organisation
    · Annual, open election of Management Committee personnel
    · Providing opportunities for Stakeholders to give feedback to the Scheme
    eg Surveys on specific issues, Newsletters
    · Providing information about meeting, Policies and issues on the internet, to invite and enable stakeholders to access and comment
    · Regular Staff reports to Management
    · A range of training opportunities made available to Staff, Parents and Carers
    · Opportunities for Parents and Carers to attend Playgroup
    · The regular circulation of the Scheme Newsletter with information, and invitations for involvement
    · Carers display a written programme of activities of their service
    · Playgroup displays a written programme with areas for parent/Carer/child comment and evaluation
    · Staff provide advice, information and resources for Carer’s Programmes
    · Parents are invited to contribute to the Programmes of the service eg their child’s interests, parental skills
